1 06 2007Welcome to Cardiff by the Sea Lodge’s first blog! The postings done here will be done by all of us here at Cardiff Lodge; as we all have different areas of expertise and interest. This site will be undergoing a lot of work while we learn how to blog and get the most out of it as we can. We hope that everyone will stay up with us to learn more about our amazing place. There will be pictures posted of our lodge, including the roof top garden that we host weddings on and much more. We look forward to this process and getting this site ready for all interested potential guests!

Hello! My wife and I had our wedding on the roof top on July 7th 2007. First and foremost the staff from the very beginning were extremely kind, professional, helpful, and so very friendly. I was a long distance away while my wife was near there and anytime I had questions about the place I made a phone call and the staff was excited to help me in any way they could. The day of the wedding was amazing and busy but the staff at the lodge set the tables where they needed to be and made sure the roof top was perfect. The gardening on the grounds was simply amazing! They have two small water fountains on the roof and the sound is so delightful. The view from the roof is perfect for sunsets or just watching the ocean! It is within walking distance to the beach and the weather was perfect. The rooms! Wow! beautiful! My wife and I stayed in the Summer room and it was perfect. We actually stayed an extra day because we didn’t want to leave. The white wicker furniture was delightful and comfortable. The room made you feel like you were actually in a house on the beach! The breakfast was great the muffins, fruit, and drinks were all fresh and layed out beautifully. After our wedding, about two nights later my wife and I walked back up to the roof and sat by the big fire pit and reflected on the wedding day and could not believe how perfect our day was and we could not have picked a better place to be married. The owner, came up to where we were sitting and asked us if we needed anything, as usual, and she was extremely nice and very hospitable. This is exactly what we expected from a bed and breakfast and will go back there on our anniversaries from now on! We definately would reccommend this place for any special event or occassion because the memories will be something that you will treasure for life! ~ terry & eileen S.
